This month, SSFNC children took classroom field trips to the MN Children's Museum and parents/caregivers were invited to join their children on the field trip.
We have family activities (at our building and in the community) periodically throughout the year. This allows parents/caregivers a chance to see their child interact with classmates and teachers, explore their child's classroom or a space in the community, get to know teachers and other parents, and build parent-child relationships. These child-family activities promote trust and belonging. Examples of field trips/events this year include an open House (August), a visit to Stages Theatre to see a play (October), field trip to the Children's Museum (March), Librarian Storytime (April), and a family picnic (July). |
